Walk away..

Sometimes you have to walk away. You have to look at what you’re giving energy to and realize that even though you could stay, try to win their approval and climb their ladder, you could also make the brave choice to take whatever energy you have left to a space that welcomes you. There are times in life where walking away is the best thing to do for your health and who you are becoming. Even if it means certain people will change their opinions of you. You may just need to walk away, trusting that even then, there is so much more ahead of you.

Affirmations for Self-Forgiveness

I lay down the heavy weight of doubt, shame, guilt and embarrassment.

I release the past so I can step into the future with pure intentions.

I am capable of moving beyond my mistakes.

I am able to heal from the hurt and pain of what I have caused.

I am worthy of all the compassion and kindness life offers me.

I accept that I did the best I could at the time with what I knew.

I have the courage to heal and become whole again.

I am willing to live with all of who I am.

I am capable of loving all of who I am.

I grow more patient and understanding of others by forgiving myself.

I let go of all self-judgement and self-sabotage.

I grow stronger and better as I forgive myself to move on.

I forgive myself so that I can have inner peace again.

I can only share my gift with the world if I first forgive myself.

The bigger the tree, the bigger will be its roots

Sadness gives depth. Happiness gives height. Sadness gives roots. Happiness gives branches. Happiness is like a tree going into the sky, and sadness is like the roots going down into the womb of the earth. Both are needed, and the higher a tree goes, the deeper it goes, simultaneously. The bigger the tree, the bigger will be its roots. In fact, it is always in proportion. That’s its balance.

– Osho

Personality

The largest part of what we call ‘personality’ is determined by how we’ve opted to defend ourselves against anxiety and sadness.

– Alain de Botton
