Just Kidding…
As a mental health professional I find people are starving to be listened to. Instead of preparing what I am going to say back as soon as the other person stops talking, I try to figure out why they are saying what they are saying. And when someone doesn’t hear you “one up them” but they sense you heard their emotions, they feel known. And that is a great feeling to give.
